What are the magic ingredients that can transform a city from a run-of-the-mill bunch of shops and houses to a vibrant cultural epicentre? Is it the architecture? Is it investment in arts festivals? Is it small groups of entrepreneurial "animateurs"? These are the questions we'll be exploring within our usual mix of entertainment, food, drink and panel-led discussion.
On The Panel
Keith Bradley, Senior Partner in Feilden Clegg Bradley, the RIBA Stirling Prize 2008 winners, and co-author of "The Environmental Handbook" about sustainable building techniques.
Rhodri Samuel, Regeneration Manager for BANES Council, instrumental in creating, writing and promoting the Future for Bath Vision, Academician of the national Academy of Urbanism.
Gitte Dawson, founder of the King Bladud's Pigs in Bath project and concept developer for the Bath Christmas Market.
Francis Moran, area coordinator of Bath Greenpeace, just completed a Masters course in Renewable Energy at the Centre for Alternative Technology, currently launching a Community Interest Company with the aim of reducing the energy consumption of homes and businesses in Bath.
