So, what kind of person are you likely to be as a potential participant in Café of Ideas? Well, you will most likely fit in to one or both of the following two categories:
- A professional in any discipline - from manufacturing to scientific research, who is seeking to stimulate your mind, expand your creative thinking, build a professional network and have a great time. You may well be of an entrepreneurial bent. Or perhaps you've just reached a crossroads in your life and are seeking ideas and/or partners for furthering your next great project.
- A professional creative - that's a designer, photographer, marketing person, visual artist, musician, film-maker etc. - who as well as the general benefits listed above is seeking new collaborators, clients, or commissions - which you may achieve by using your blistering right brain hemisphere to provide your co-participants at any event with genuine and immediate value. (Of course, you'll then tell them what you do and swap business cards - but no hard sell at our events please).
As we hope you can see, the two categories above are mutually supportive and complementary.
Please note that whilst we very much encourage the seeding of fruitful business relationships at our events, we're not a networking organisation as such. Our events are designed to be truly valuable and electrifying in and of themselves - not to be an environment in which all participants are mainly seeking a "Big Cheese" that can be of some "use" to them.
We're about exploring and celebrating human creativity, flexible thinking and open-mindedness - which we believe has proven social, cultural and economic benefits - both for people individually and for us collectively as a society.
