JR Ryan - Membership and Network Director
Californian JR is what one might call a polymath - with an exceptional range of interests and abilities - from wine-writing to photography to geeky computer stuff to jewellery-making. He's currently running Invention Studios, one of Bath's most exciting cultural centres, which puts him in the perfect place to develop our network of members and support the production of our events. JR has also been a web designer and developer for over 12 years, specialising in usability, accessibility and layout design. He has an MA in multimedia user interface design from Bath Spa University.
Douglas Walker - Business Development Director
Douglas has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development, and has acquired particular expertise in developing and establishing new business initiatives. With a background originally in publishing, working for leading UK companies, Douglas subsequently established a Premium & Promotional publishing supply business, delivering successful projects for key UK brands including Proctor & Gamble, Birds Eye Walls, Eurostar and Boots.
Tony Coe - Technical Director
Tony is the programming Yoda of the Café of Ideas team, responsible for the application development of our "Touchspace" online services, as well as for supporting Café of Ideas own back-office administrative requirements. Tony has 18 years of application development experience and more importantly a delightfully wry sense of humour - light-hearted, yet totally focussed.
Pete Francomb - Project Lead
Up to now Pete's been unable to make up his mind whether to write computer games, front pop groups, create graphics, run training courses, produce theatre shows or design software - so we felt we had no choice but to take him in off the street and try to give him some direction. Pete likes to think he's in charge but we generally ignore him.
